Basketball Recap: Fremont Gets the Win

Fremont lost to Ridgeline back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Silverwolves came out on top against the Riverhawks by a score of 51-43. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Silverwolves.

Ridgeline's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Abby Munford, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 15 boards, and Brooke Smith, who posted 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. Munford has been hot, having posted nine or more rebounds the last seven times she's played.

Fremont's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Ridgeline, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fremont will take on Westlake at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ridgeline, they will host Deseret Peak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Riverhawks their first taste of in-conference action this season.
