Baseball Recap: Millry Comes Up Short

Millry blew Cottage Hill Christian Academy out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Cottage Hill Christian Academy got their revenge. The Millry Wildcats fell just short of the Cottage Hill Christian Academy Warriors by a score of 2-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Millry and nudges their season record down to 4-2. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 3-1 St. Luke's Episcopal (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 70.8% over those games). As for Cottage Hill Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Wildcats coming up. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Millry: 1.5, St. Luke's Episcopal: 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Cottage Hill Christian Academy, they will take on Rain at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
