Softball Game Preview: Indian Creek Timberwolves vs. Amboy Clippers

The Indian Creek Timberwolves are taking a road trip to face off against the Amboy Clippers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Indian Creek is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Indian Creek's last matchup with Earlville could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Tuesday. The Timberwolves lost 13-2 to the Red Raiders.

Indian Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allie Peterson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Amboy didn't have quite enough to beat Eastland on Tuesday and fell 4-3. The Clippers have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Amboy's loss dropped their record down to 4-13-1. As for Indian Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Indian Creek couldn't quite finish off Amboy in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 and fell 7-5. Can the Timberwolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
