There's no place like home for Wagoner, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They took down the Locust Grove Pirates 76-58 on Friday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Pirates are ranked 254th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Loss or not, Locust Grove got some senior leadership from Cayson King and Tyler Wiggins. King went 7-for-13 on his way to 20 points and five boards, while Wiggins dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Wiggins a new career-high in shooting accuracy (75%). Another player making a difference was Kannon Blakemore, who posted three points.

Wagoner's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Locust Grove, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

Wagoner wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 81-52 win against Catoosa on the 11th. As for Locust Grove, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-52 victory against Salina on the 10th.
