It's playoff time, and Union had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Calhoun City Wildcats 12-1 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Yellowjackets, who have now won 11 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Union's seventh in a row) raised their record to 21-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Calhoun City, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-11.

Union will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
