Recap: Liberty Panthers vs. Splendora Wildcats
The Liberty Panthers pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Splendora 62-58. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Liberty of the 58-46 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Splendora to victory, but perhaps none more so than Candido Hernandez, who shot 4-for-6 from deep and dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hernandez has scored all season. Cayden Hyatt was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Liberty has been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 17 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-22 record this season. As for Splendora, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 17-13.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Hargrave the next time they take the court. Liberty will head out to face Hargrave at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Splendora will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
