Basketball Game Preview: Roosevelt Roughriders vs. Ida B. Wells Guardians

Roosevelt hasn't had much luck against Ida B. Wells recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Roosevelt Roughriders will head out to face off against the Ida B. Wells Guardians at 7:15 p.m.

Roosevelt is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 60-39 to McDaniel.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Ida B. Wells against Franklin on Tuesday as the squad secured a 49-21 victory. Given the Guardians' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Quakers are ranked 226th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ida B. Wells' record is now 11-7. As for Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 6-15.

Roosevelt might still be hurting after the 59-33 defeat they got from Ida B. Wells when the teams last played back in January. Can Roosevelt avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
