Basketball Recap: Hiawatha Collegiate Comes Up Short

Hiawatha Collegiate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the North Lakes Academy Huskies, falling 61-36. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Hiawatha Collegiate of the 43-25 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Hiawatha Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for North Lakes Academy, they moved to 6-11 with that victory, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

Hiawatha Collegiate has already played their next game, a 63-21 defeat against Roosevelt on the 1st. As for North Lakes Academy, they will square off against PACT Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.
