Baseball Recap: Pieper Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Pieper was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell 7-2 to the La Vernia Bears.

Pieper's loss dropped their record down to 5-3-1. As for La Vernia, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Pieper will be taking part in a tournament against East Central at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Pieper: 3.6, East Central: 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for La Vernia, they will head out on the road to take on Madison at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
