Baseball Recap: Botkins Trojans vs. National Trail Blazers
Botkins took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against National Trail, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Trojans came out on top in a nail-biter against the Blazers on Saturday, sneaking past 4-2.

Will Monnin was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Botkins is 2-1 when Monnin allows one or fewer earned runs, but 6-10 otherwise. Monnin was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.
