Football Game Preview: Effingham County Rebels vs. Glynn Academy Terrors + How To Watch

The Effingham County Rebels will venture away from home to face off against the Glynn Academy Terrors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Glynn Academy will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Effingham County extended their winning streak to five on Friday. The Rebels put the hurt on Greenbrier with a sharp 42-17 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Rebels' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Wolfpack are ranked 288th).

Effingham County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trayvis Hunter, who picked up 109 receiving yards and a pair of scores. That's the most receiving yards Hunter has posted since back in October of 2024. Another signal caller making a difference was Tucker Perkins, who threw for zero yards and three touchdowns while completing 81% of his passes.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Glynn Academy over South Effingham in every quarter on their way to victory last Friday. The Terrors were the clear victors by a 28-2 margin over the Mustangs. The Terrors haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Effingham County's record is now 6-2. As for Glynn Academy, their record now sits at 5-3.

Effingham County came out on top in a nail-biter against Glynn Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, sneaking past 45-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
