Baseball Recap: Archbishop Williams Comes Up Short

Archbishop Williams extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping their season record down to 2-8 in the process. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop Feehan Shamrocks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Shamrocks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-2 on April 2nd.

As for Bishop Feehan, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games.

For Bishop Feehan's part, Randen May was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. May also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jake Webster, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Archbishop Williams will welcome St. Peter-Marian at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bishop Feehan, they will head out to challenge Bishop Fenwick on Wednesday.
