Baseball Recap: Northern Adirondack Bobcats vs. Moriah Vikings

Northern Adirondack had lost three straight at home, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 2-6 to make it four. They lost 10-3 to the Moriah Vikings. The Bobcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Northern Adirondack saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Bushey, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.

As for Moriah, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-6 record. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their one-run performance the contest before.

On Moriah's side, Isaac White made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts White has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Joe Pelkey was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Joey Kazlo, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

While Northern Adirondack had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
