Softball Recap: Poland Seminary Takes a Loss

Poland Seminary and Champion squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Poland Seminary had to settle for second. They lost 9-1 to the Golden Flashes. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Poland Seminary saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lillian McDonald, who went 2-for-3 with one home run.

Poland Seminary has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season. As for Champion, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-5.

Poland Seminary does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Champion, they will square off against South Range at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Golden Flashes surely won't give up without a fight.
