Softball Recap: Kennard-Dale Now 12-1 over Last 13 Games

It's playoff time, and Kennard-Dale had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let the Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic Friars/Pandas get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Monday. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.

Taryn Ashenfelter made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, Kennard-Dale let Addie Argiro and Hailey Serruto run wild. Argiro went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Serruto went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most runs Serruto has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Elaina Zabkowski, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Kennard-Dale has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

As of now, neither Kennard-Dale nor the Friars/Pandas have any future games scheduled.
