Football Recap: Beddingfield Falls Short of Princeton in the Playoffs + How To Watch

Beddingfield and Princeton squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Beddingfield had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 54-18 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Bruins haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Although Beddingfield took the loss, they still got scores from Brayden Winstead, Darrian Jones, and Cornelieus Smith.

Princeton found their leader in sophomore Teo McPhatter, who rushed for 226 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.9 yards per carry, and also threw for 44 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Gerell Bogle, who rushed for 61 yards and one score.

Beddingfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Princeton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Beddingfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Princeton, they will head out to face off against Pasquotank County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' defense has only allowed 10.8 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
