Volleyball Recap: Riverdale Comes Up Short

Riverdale saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Poynette Pumas by a score of 2-1. The Chieftains have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Macy McKay paced Riverdale's offense, picking up five kills. McKay got some help from Abby Tisdale and her seven assists. Finally, Tisdale was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Riverdale's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Poynette, their victory bumped their record up to 5-16.

Looking ahead, Riverdale is taking a road trip to face off against Darlington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Poynette, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Lodi on the 23rd.
