Softball Recap: Buna Comes Up Short

Buna's last matchup with Orangefield could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. The Cougars lost 13-0 to the Bobcats. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Buna's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Orangefield, the win was the 18th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 30-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Buna will challenge rival Warren at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Orangefield is set to square off against their familiar foe Anahuac at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bobcats 1.6, the Panthers 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
