Softball Recap: Ahoskie Christian Wins Going Away Against Bethel Assembly Christian Academy

Ahoskie Christian made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Bethel Assembly Christian Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Ahoskie Christian was the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over Bethel Assembly Christian Academy on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for Ahoskie Christian as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Keira Lassiter was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

In other batting news, Kinsley Dunlow was excellent, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Myah Bradley was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Ahoskie Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Bethel Assembly Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coming up, Ahoskie Christian will be playing at home against New Life Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Life Christian Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 23.25 runs per game on average), something Ahoskie Christian will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bethel Assembly Christian Academy, they will face off against New Bern Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
