Softball Recap: Sandburg Comes Up Short

Sandburg lost against Andrew back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles came up short against the Thunderbolts, falling 12-3.

Sandburg has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. As for Andrew, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sandburg will face off against Lockport at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Andrew, they will take on Downers Grove South at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Thunderbolts' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
