Baseball Game Preview: Liberty Bison vs. La Serna Lancers

The Liberty Bison will take on the La Serna Lancers at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Liberty is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against Santa Paula by a score of 7-3.

Oak Hills typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday La Serna proved too difficult a challenge. They skirted past the Bulldogs 4-3.

Gibson Laracuente made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Laracuente wasn't the only one making solid contact as eight players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Dominic Segura, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

La Serna was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Liberty now has a winning record of 12-11. As for La Serna, their record is now 16-12.
