Volleyball Recap: JW North Beats Lakeside for Their Third Straight Victory

JW North waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Lakeside Lancers. For the Huskies, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Lancers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2023.

JW North got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-20, 31-33, 25-16.

Aliyah Washington paced JW North's offense, picking up 13 kills. Washington got some help from Nylah Lopez and her 21 assists. Athena Lee controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

JW North's win bumped their record up to 8-15. As for Lakeside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.

Coincidentally, JW North and Lakeside will both be playing Citrus Hill the next time they take the court. The Huskies will head out to face the Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Lancers will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
