Softball Recap: Page Beats Lincoln County for Their Fourth Straight Win

While Page's victory against Lincoln County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Patriots had just enough and edged out the Falcons 9-7. With that win, the Patriots brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Ashley Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Page let Adriana Callahan and Anna Johnson run wild. Callahan went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double, while Johnson went 3-for-4 with four RBI and two runs. That's the most hits Johnson has posted since back in April.

The victory (which was Page's fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Lincoln County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-16-2 record this season.

Page will welcome Coffee County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Red Raiders will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. Lincoln County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
