Basketball Game Preview: Skyline Spartans vs. Mount Si Wildcats

The Skyline Spartans will head out to challenge the Mount Si Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Skyline has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 14.

On Saturday, Skyline had to suffer through a 78-45 loss at the hands of Bellevue. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 285th, while the Wolverines are ranked 14th).

Meanwhile, Mount Si came into Saturday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 70-61 win over Renton on Saturday.

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Mount Si, their record now sits at 10-5.

Skyline was dealt a bruising 73-44 defeat at the hands of Mount Si when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Skyline avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
