The Tracy Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the St. Mary's Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tracy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 17 games.
St. Mary's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Tracy hadn't allowed a single run the last four times they've hit the field. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over Lincoln on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 15 matches by seven runs or more so far this season.
Not much got past Elisa Galli, who gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Lincoln off the board. Galli has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Emalee Cargill was incredible, firing off four runs, four doubles, and one stolen base while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Sansaver, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Tracy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln only posted a batting average of .211.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, St. Mary's was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lodi. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Flames: they've now lost three in a row.
Ava Arucan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.
At the plate, St. Mary's saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maya Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Tracy's win was their 11th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for St. Mary's, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.
St. Mary's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Tracy has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12 hits per game. It's a different story for St. Mary's, though, as they've been averaging 10.2 hits. Given Tracy's sizable advantage in that area, the Rams will need to find a way to close that gap.
Tracy took their win against St. Mary's when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 19-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
