Soccer Game Preview: Caldera vs. Ridgeview

Caldera will venture away from home to face off against the Ridgeview Ravens at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Caldera lost 4-1 to Redmond/Culver on Tuesday. Caldera has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, Ridgeview fell victim to Summit and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They came up short against the Storm, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Ridgeview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon soccer rankings (they are ranked 128th, while Summit are ranked 15th).

Caldera's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Ridgeview, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-2.

Caldera was able to grind out a solid victory over Ridgeview in their previous meeting back in September, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Caldera since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
