Basketball Recap: Anderson County Takes a Loss

Anderson County lost against Wellsville back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Anderson County Bulldogs took a 70-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wellsville Eagles.

Despite the loss, Anderson County still got an impressive performance from Noah Porter, who dropped a double-double with 39 points and 11 rebounds. Porter's evening made it 12 games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brylan Sommer, who went 5-for-10 en route to 13 points and six assists.

Anderson County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Wellsville, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5-1 record this season.

Anderson County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-53 victory against Osawatomie on the 11th. As for Wellsville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 73-66 loss against Burlington on the 11th.
