Baseball Recap: Turpin Takes a Loss

Turpin easily dispatched Milford on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Spartans fell just short of the Archbishop McNicholas Rockets by a score of 6-4 on Saturday. The Spartans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rockets from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.

Turpin's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Archbishop McNicholas, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Coming up, Turpin will venture away from home to challenge Anderson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Archbishop McNicholas, they will head out to square off against Chaminade Julienne Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rockets 3.7, the Eagles 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
