Softball Recap: Placer Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Placer's offense. They came up short against the Yuba City Honkers on Thursday, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Hillmen's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Placer's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Yuba City, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-2-1.

Looking ahead, Placer will look to defend their home field on Friday against Twelve Bridges at 4:00 p.m. The Hillmen's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raging Rhinos have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Yuba City, they will be taking part in a tournament against Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
