            Softball Recap: Clarksville Panthers vs. Waldron Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            Clarksville had lost 13 straight on the road dating back to last season, but  on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 2-18 to make it 14. They lost  14-4 to the Waldron Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  22-9  on April 4th.
As for Waldron, their record is now 8-12. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous   contest.
For Waldron's part,  Avery Self made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  pitched 1.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Self was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI and one  triple. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in March.
 In other pitching news,  Sierra Helms tossed a big game,   tossing 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and three unearned) runs off   five  hits.
 Back at the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Leah Shorts, who  went 2-for-5 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Lauren Shores, who  went 3-for-5 with three  runs and one  stolen base.
 Clarksville has already played their next game,  a  15-0  loss against Atkins on the 24th. Waldron has also already played their next  match (against Magazine), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
