Softball Recap: Altamont Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Altamont couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Beaver Beavers by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The Longhorns were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Beavers earlier this season, when they won 6-3.

Altamont has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-8 record this season. As for Beaver, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-8.

Looking ahead, Altamont will square off against Wayne at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Beaver, they will challenge Duchesne at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The Beavers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 11.8 runs per game this season.
