West Branch waltzed into their matchup on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the Bald Eagle Area Eagles 67-42. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while the Eagles are ranked 610th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Branch's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan McGonigal, who posted 23 points. McGonigal's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joel Evans, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards.

West Branch smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

West Branch's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Bald Eagle Area, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

West Branch wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 72-55 win against Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy on the 28th. As for Bald Eagle Area, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 46-42 defeat against Philipsburg-Osceola on the 28th.
