There's no place like home for Springfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Granada Bobcats 3-2 on Tuesday. The Longhorns have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bobcats, too.

Springfield's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gunner Mackey, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Another was Carter Barnes, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Springfield's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Granada, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Springfield beat the Bobcats by a score of 9-3 later that day.
