Soccer Recap: Obion County Comes Up Short

Obion County lost against Westview back in March of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Rebels fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 5-4. Even if Obion County couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Juan Diego Avila Ochoa and Stone Ladden scored all four of Obion County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Obion County has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6-1 record this season. As for Westview, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Obion County will square off against Dyer County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Westview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
