Basketball Game Preview: Heritage Preparatory Rams vs. St. George's

The Heritage Preparatory Rams just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome St. George at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 62-29, which was the final score in Heritage Preparatory's tilt against Furtah Prep on Wednesday. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, St. George's put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 70-30 win over Twiggs Academy. Fans of St. George's have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

St. George's found their leader in sophomore Jules Gotell, who went 16 of 29 on her way to 35 points and five steals. The match was Gotell's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Pressley Burson, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards.

St. George's pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 18.8 points per game. As for Heritage Preparatory, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
