Soccer Recap: St. Thomas More Comes Up Short

After flying high against Urbana University on Monday, St. Thomas More came back down to earth. The Sabers came up short against the Bloomington Central Catholic Saints on Tuesday, falling 7-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to St. Thomas More of the 7-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

St. Thomas More's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5. As for Bloomington Central Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 6-7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. St. Thomas More will face off against rival Illinois Valley Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bloomington Central Catholic is set to challenge their familiar foe Monticello at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
