Saint Stephen's Episcopal is 6-1 against Booker since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Saint Stephen's Episcopal Falcons will welcome the Booker Tornadoes at 4:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Saint Stephen's Episcopal challenged Sarasota Military Academy on Monday. Saint Stephen's Episcopal skirted past Sarasota Military Academy 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted since April 18, 2024.

Saint Stephen's Episcopal saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabriel Conn, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Jackson McLeod also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Booker had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 9-8 W against the Bruins.

Saint Stephen's Episcopal's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Booker, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Saint Stephen's Episcopal has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Booker struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Saint Stephen's Episcopal took their win against Booker in their previous matchup back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 14-1. Will Saint Stephen's Episcopal repeat their success, or does Booker have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
