 The Northview Wildcats will square off against the Marshall Owls at 12:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Marshall took a loss in their last  contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Northview, who comes in off a win.
 Last Monday, Northview got the win against Northridge  by a conclusive  11-1. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Northview.
  Roman McKarus was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits (he also only allowed one  walk). McKarus was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Connor Draper, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.  Colin Tomanski was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Marshall's offense. Their  rough  12-0 defeat to Mexico  on Wednesday might stick with them for a while. The  matchup marked that first time this season in which Marshall was not able to get on the board.
 Northview's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Marshall, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-4.
