Soccer Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

After flying high against Ysleta last Tuesday, Austin came back down to earth. The Austin Panthers fell just short of the Bowie Bears by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Panthers have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Bowie, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5.

Coming up, Austin will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain View at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bowie, they will head out on the road to square off against San Elizario at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. San Elizario will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Bowie surely won't give up without a fight.
