Recap: North Florida Christian Eagles vs. Maclay Marauders
The North Florida Christian Eagles were the 57-13 winner over the Maclay Marauders when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. North Florida Christian fell 41-28 to Maclay on Friday. North Florida Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Maclay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lauren Guyer, who scored 13 points. Aleeza Moore was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
North Florida Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Maclay, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Florida Christian and Taylor County will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Maclay won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Chiles at 5:00 p.m. on January 13th. Hopefully Chiles focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Friday.
