Basketball Recap: Mt. Mansfield's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Mt. Mansfield put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the North Country Union Falcons as the Mt. Mansfield Cougars made off with a 68-46 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 58-33 last Monday.

Mt. Mansfield's victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-0. As for North Country Union, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Mansfield will head out to square off against Rice Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Mansfield knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Rice Memorial likes a good challenge. As for North Country Union, they are taking a road trip to challenge Lyndon Institute at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
