Volleyball Recap: King's Academy Comes Up Short

King's Academy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Notre Dame Academy Pandas by a score of 2-1.

Mikayla Matuszko paced King's Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Matuszko got some help from Jordan Molnar and her 21 assists. Gabriella Fernandez controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Notre Dame Academy found their leader in sophomore Dara Jackson, who had six digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Jackson.

King's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Notre Dame Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

King's Academy has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Daphne on the 30th. As for Notre Dame Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Cardinal Mooney on the 30th.
