Basketball Recap: Mckinnley Kroos' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Kenesaw over Red Cloud

Kenesaw suffered their closest defeat since December 20, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Red Cloud Warriors by a score of 46-43. The Blue Devils' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was McKinnley Kroos, who went 6-for-13 en route to 16 points and six boards. The dominant performance also gave Kroos a new career-high in assists (two). Jorja Uden was another key player, putting up six points along with six rebounds and five blocks.

Red Cloud found their leader in freshman Aiva Rust, who posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Josie Faimon, who put up ten points.

Kenesaw's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Red Cloud, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Kenesaw has already played their next matchup, a 45-29 victory against Bertrand on the 15th. As for Red Cloud, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-49 win against Deshler on the 13th.
