Basketball Game Preview: Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights vs. Southland Rebels

The Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights will challenge the Southland Rebels at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Kenyon-Wanamingo knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matches -- so hopefully Southland likes a good challenge.

Southland is facing Kenyon-Wanamingo at the wrong time: Kenyon-Wanamingo suffered their first home loss of the season on Tuesday and they're likely out for redemption. They fell 73-60 to the Rockets.

Meanwhile, Southland put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 91-37 victory over Grand Meadow. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 29 points or more this season.

Southland's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.2 points. As for Kenyon-Wanamingo, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-3.

Kenyon-Wanamingo couldn't quite finish off Southland in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 and fell 48-45. Can Kenyon-Wanamingo avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
