After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mountain Vista, Chaparral was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Cherry Creek Bruins a 19-0 shutout.

A big part of Chaparral's victory came down to the chemistry between Zoey Fink and her top target Sydney Matthews. Fink threw for 173 yards and three touchdowns while Matthews picked up 53 receiving yards and a pair of scores. What's more, Fink racked up 49 rushing yards, the most she's had since back in October of 2024.
