Baseball Game Preview: Banning Broncos vs. Desert Mirage RAMS

For the second straight game, Banning will face off against Desert Mirage. The Broncos will square off against the RAMS at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Banning will be looking to extend their current 15-game winning streak.

Banning's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Desert Mirage 10-0. Considering the Broncos have won 12 matchups by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Sebastian Osornio made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other pitching news, Marquis Stewart-Vaughn looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two hits in nine consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Cody Gutierrez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Caleb Allen also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
