Volleyball Recap: Highland Wins Going Away Against Pleasant

Highland's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Pleasant Spartans. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Fighting Scots have posted against the Spartans since September 22, 2022.

The victory didn't come easy: Pleasant scored at least 21 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 25-21.

Riley Walker was the offensive standout of the match as she had 14 digs and two assists. Those 14 digs gave her a new career-high.

When it comes to explaining why Pleasant lost, don't look at Kamryn Roberts. Despite the final result, she had 30 digs and seven assists. Roberts has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 18 times she's played.

Highland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. Having lost for the first time this season, Pleasant fell to 20-1.

Highland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pleasant, they have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Fredericktown on the 9th.
