Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hokes Bluff). They were the clear victors by a 20-12 margin over the Gadsden City Titans on Monday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Rylee Hill was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sophia Jackson, who got on base in all six of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addison Simmons, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
