Basketball Recap: Chaparral Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Chaparral can now relate to. They took a 68-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Oak Hawks on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while the Hawks are ranked 68th).

Chaparral has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 20-15 record this season. As for Red Oak, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season.

Chaparral does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Red Oak, they will challenge White on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with White sitting on seven straight victories and Red Oak on 13.
