Basketball Recap: Tree of Life Christian Comes Up Short

If Tree of Life Christian was feeling good fresh off their 47-4 takedown of Liberty Christian Academy last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tree of Life Christian Trojans fell 35-25 to the Delaware Christian Eagles on Tuesday. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 28-17.

Delaware Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addy Beard, who posted 15 points and six boards. The game was Beard's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Pearch, who earned nine points.

Tree of Life Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Delaware Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Tree of Life Christian has already played their next contest (against Genoa Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Delaware Christian will look to defend their home court on February 11th against Northside Christian at 8:00 p.m.
